I mean if you have children with him, do you class them as family? Just curious

@Lilyfin guidelines are to keep it going but that it doesn’t have to... is lots of advice out there now.. like on gingerbread website . If is good reason that it’s unsafe to and you could justify reasons then you could insist on just Skype etc instead. A few people I know have done this , some with supportive exes and some unsupportive. But if it’s a genuine worry with the asthma and lack of following guidelines then you have quite strong reasons to consider it by deoending on how often usually sees him etc.. if just eh every other weekend then replace it with Skype . Get advice if you’re worried

Yes I do. We had an amicable split and love each other dearly, but as almost siblings instead of man and wife. I would give him a kidney if he needed one and he would do the same for me.

He still gets invited to all my family's events and I am so grateful to my family for still embracing him, even though we have both moved on and had new partners etc. His family have been arses about it, and it has taken a tonne of work to get where we are, but our DD is worth it. It does her good to have parents who love each other and are great friends.

No, not at all. However, as my parents have both passed and I am an only child, by agreement he is my next of kin on official paperwork until our eldest child reaches 18. I was going to put my cousin but it seemed to make sense really that if something happens to me, the ex will need to be on hand for the children anyway so he might as well deal with it In full.

Nope, but every other member of his family I do and it will never change as I've known them for 17 years and we have children.
I remember when my ex's sister had her baby and he said to me, you're not his proper auntie. After that I thought fuck you and they even told him how out of order he was to say that.

No but he's my kids family.

My sister divorced her husband years ago after she cheated on him. She has 2 kids.

Ex husbands sister and her husband are very much part of our lives. Love their neice and nephew alot.

Invited to my sister's wedding to her 2nd and much nicer husband.

Still involved in our family functions etc.

They are wonderful people and I don't see why they had to be cut from our lives because her husband was a twat.

So don't see him as family anymore, but definitely see ex-sil and her husband as family

Sorry, I ment HE cheated on my sister!!!!!
