Is it ok to give an almost 3yr old Mini eggs??? Or are they a massive choking hazard?

I still remember the feeling of a Cadbury's mini egg rolling down into my throat when I was about 7. The fireman next door had to come and save me!

I did, when I was potty training ds at 2.7yo. 1 for wees, 2 for poos.

My 3yo dd chews everything that goes in her mouth so she's always had whole grapes, cherry tomatoes, marshmallows and, mini eggs.

She's only ever choked on liquid. I'm a trained first aider so knew what to do though.

I think it depends on the child. Does your child chew food?

Terrible chocking hazard you’ll have to eat them all quickly to keep them safe.

LoseLooseLucy · 11/04/2020 19:56

Yeah I wouldn't give them to my 5 year old either.

I’d happily give her a chocolate Easter egg but I wouldn’t mini eggs at that age as you can’t really chop them up like a grape as they are too hard!

I let mine but I make her bite each one before it goes in her mouth, and she only wants them under close supervision.
