To get annoyed by people expecting sympathy for bad sunburn.

People can post what they want on their own social media but we’ve all accidentally (or purposely in some people’s cases - I know people who purposely burn themselves) got sunburnt. Why do we all need to know on Facebook?

But Aibu to get really annoyed by people who post photos of their sunburn then moan how sore it is and expect sympathy. Wear sun cream, wear a hat, cover yourself up for gods sake. They are so red that it’s impossible they didn’t realise they were burning!

This is coming from someone who’s husbands close relative died of skin cancer and it’s not nice 😭

Until recently, (and perhaps now), soldiers who suffered from sunburn were charged with a "self-inflicted wound", and sent to the Guardroom.

YANBU.

My dad died of melanoma. It was horrendous; and so so quick. As far as he could remember, he had only been sunburnt once in his life, in childhood. I’m obviously incredibly cautious as a result.

It’s really so easy to avoid getting sunburnt. The fact that so many people can’t seem to manage it in this day and age is a bit baffling. As for sun beds....I don’t understand why they are still legal 😳

Y the time you know you are burnt it is too late
