To be worried? Siatica or DVT

Sorry, posting for traffic so maybe BU for that. I have pain in my calf it seems to move from my ankle to my groin and sometimes in my butt and thigh mostly in my calf though. I have lower back pain but not very often and so my doctor said it was siatica. This was around a week ago and obviously this was a phone appointment. The pain seemed to disappear for a couple of days and is now back with a vengeance. I'm quite anxious about health and really worried it's a DVT. I have no swelling or redness. Fully prepared to be told to get a grip. Obviously dont want to waste a health professionals time in the current circumstances. Anyone that's had siatica think my symptoms sound familiar?

Oh fgs!! How annoying. Did doc at least see your leg? Any reassurance on symptoms or what to look out for dvt? Dreadful.

@Heygirlheyboy no nothing. Didnt say what to look for. Didn't ask me anything just told me nothing was wrong and that I was in the wrong for going there!

Avocado, this seems to be quite common. The first time I collapsed in A&E and they initially thought I was having a panic attack simply because my leg wasn’t swollen. Even by my third time, they were still reluctant to accept it might possibly be a clot until I had a d-dimer test. The doctor even said he was surprised at the results and had only ordered the test to rule it out.

If you start getting chest pains or struggle to breath, call 999 straight away and make sure you tell them about the pain in your calf.

Have a look a piriformis syndrome. This can produce a sciatic like pain but has a different cause. It’s your calf pain that makes me think of that because PS is caused by weak/under active glutes and lack of strength/stability in the core and hip area. This can overload the calf muscles as it forces other muscle groups to compensate.
