To think artex ceilings are not that bad

Better than seeing cracks and imperfections as long as it’s a sort of random design not too swirly !

It's awful. The house we're in now is an Edwardian terrace that had every original feature ripped out by the previous owner and replaced with some hideous 70's/80's decorating fad. The hall alone had 3 different styles of artex. We had it replastered the minute we moved in. The only reason we haven't had the ceilings skimmed is that I read a post (possibly on here) about someone doing the same and when they slammed one of the doors all the plaster on the ceiling fell off. I fecking hate the stuff.
