To donate to the NHS at this time?

Hi! I want to make a donation to the local NHS staff.

I was thinking of buying hand creams, lip balms, hand sanitiser, chocolates etc. I will be asking my group chat if anyone wants to add to it.

But Im not sure if the staff are allowed to accept gifts like this from the general public. I don't want to use a phonecall to the already stretched phonelines, so thought I would ask here if anyone is in the NHS and could let me know

Thanks!

All of the hospitals local to me have set up Coronavirus fundraiser appeals for the hospitals charity, I think this may be a better way to donate to them OP. It means they can use it where it’s most needed. The details are on the hospitals websites or social media.

My trust allows gifts such as these as they are shared amongst the staff - and are appreciated 😊

My local body shop rep is taking orders for hand creams (commission free) and taking them to the local hospitals

My local hospital has an Amazon wishlist.

@whitedaisies that's not as altruistic as it might seem. It will be helping her hit her targets.

Thank you all for your replies
How do I find the amazon wishlist?
And is there any specifics that you would like to recieve, as all I can think of is hand creams, lip balms and chocolates!

Try hospital name + charity in google.

Mine brings up examples of what's been sent as well as a hospital website with links to their Amazon wishlist and JustGiving page.
