Just thought that it might be nice to think about any positives.
Such as, I don't have to worry about any one dropping round unexpectedly and the house being a mess.

I'm getting a good solid 8 hours of sleep every night - sometimes more.

I'm getting an hour's exercise each day and so far, we've had really nice weather for walking, so the fresh air is another bonus)

I've cut down on snacks and we aren't having takeaways

DH and I are both working at home, but (adult) ds has been furloughed, and he is being an absolute star in terms of cleaning and decluttering parts of our home we've just allowed to become dumping grounds.

We've really started to get to know a whole road full of neighbours, through the newly created Road WhatsApp Group. Smile

No alarm.

Jays in the garden.

Time to look at the tadpoles in the pond.

The dogs are in heaven.

I can drive to the yard really quickly and spend unlit time with the horse.

Instead of heaving my weary bones out of bed at 6.30 am, I can sip tea in bed , and still be at work by 8am.

I'm doing a LOT of cleaning.

My young children are enjoying it and I’m realising that my rush to do something “productive” every day during school holidays wasn’t actually in anyone’s best interests this whole time.

DH being here to eat dinner with us every night.
No morning panic about school bags and hitherto-unmentioned essential equipment for that day
DS2 playing chess over the telephone with DFIL
The road outside being so much quieter than usual is great
The lack of bickering tension between the two teenage boys...
