Selfish neighbours

Our elderly next door neighbours are burning garden waste in their garden very regularly. Today is the third day in a row they have had their cash in hand gardener man round to do it. Aside from the blatant disregard they are showing the social distancing guidelines, they are being in my opinion really selfish by having these frequent mini bonfires when people are stuck indoors and might want to use their gardens.
I'm at home with a toddler and a newborn and not happy about not being able to open a window or go in the garden because of their bloody smoke.
What makes it even more infuriating is the way this couple are a right pair of busybodies who think they have a right to police the road and have had a go at us for stupid things like cutting our own hedge back and the one and only tine we burnt something in our garden (late at night) after having knocked to let them know we would be doing it, they very haughtily told us we could only do it after 8pm.
I have had a look on the council website and it doesbt looknlike they're actually breaking a law as its not billowing smoke. Its as much the principle of their hypocrisy as it is the annoyance of daily smoke.
Am i being unfair to be sitting indoors seething at what selfish dicks they are, and to be contemplating shopping them for having a gardener round when everyone's meant to be socially distancing?

I'd post a note through to tell them why they're selfish.

Obviously that's a silly move though, you've got to live next to them and all.

Just ask them politely to stop cos of your kid and being at home all the time. But don't tell them they're being selfish

We are having the same issue here (West Midlands) I'm fuming as we have elderly retirement flats by us and they can't get out for some fresh air given the isolation situation etc. I've complained to my local council and taken pictures each and every time. Despite trying to get their attention to put the damn things out they all appear deaf. I've set up a hose at the back of my garden for some late night soakings to try to dampen the areas they light them .Grin

Helpfully I have also heard from the council who are proposing to write to them to advise of the nuisance it remains to be seen if it changes anything.
