It's that everyone is struggling at the moment.

There is no one person or group of people that is suffering hardest - we are all taking a toll because we need to do what is right for the majority, as well as ourselves.

Instead of dissing the middle class as they 'finally get it' when it comes to money struggles or chuckling at the unemployed Mum as she 'can't possibly find this hard' - there's no need to play pity party top trumps.

Instead, can we actually help each other by sharing our knowledge or ideas. If we feel we must judge, is it not near to scroll past that particular post?

Nobody is less deserving of sympathy here-- we are all struggling for our own reasons.

I know IANBU to want it but likely U to expect it when people are stressed as hell.

Bot of a shame that in a crisis people seem to turn on each other rather than being supportive and being able to say what they are struggling with etc, without fear of judgement and criticism.

I have always tried to be kind - but it does not often pay. Asking is pointless and really only virtue signalling.

Why ask me OP, (or nay MNer), when you have no idea how kind I already am - just be kind yourself.

The unkind won't listen. And we do not have a society that encourages or rewards that: in fact quite the opposite.

We need to really vote and act and use our purchasing power to change the way society rewards kindness before you will see a change.
