To think April Fools jokes aren’t going to go well this year?

I can’t imagine big companies like google pulling their usual pranks. Or news agencies adding a fake story. I can’t see April fool jokes being a thing this year without offending someone

Our police force put this one on Facebook this morning 😃

I belong to a WhatsApp group for local mums. It's very large and most of us don't know each other. Someone thought it would be funny to post a fake link about Boris announcing the end of the Lockdown from tomorrow. I for one fell for it and was so excited, now feeling so disappointed, such a dick move in my opinion when you don't know the mental state of those receiving it.

My DC made a dog poo out of plasticine and put it in the kitchen. I fell for it!

DD maths teacher set a spelling test... with the spellings spelt wrong!! Except for the words Happy April and Fool

DD having got those three right had two further attempts at the other words before only realising when she saw the results.

It was appreciated!

My friend put on fb this morning that due to the success of the last 10 days she was going to permanently home school her kids. I had a moment of 'I'm sure she was struggling as much as I was' before I realised its an April's fool!

YANBU. The programme 'this morning' didn't do their usual April Fool's jape this year. They just showed the one they did last year!

My dc's prank this morning was to bluetack bits of card saying "breaktime" into every slot on their timetable from school of what they are meant to be doing.

I think that, as long as they are pitched right, April Fools pranks can be harmless.

Oh shit!! I realised the post from the Zoo that i read this morning was a prank!!! Apparently the animals had been facetiming each other...

Just the idea of eggs hatching 'bouncing baby pandas' has cheered me up a bit.

I have seen loads of Facebook of people telling their children they were going back to school then filming their reaction. I think it's so cruel actually. Whether the children acknowledge it or not this is such a turbulent time and I just think it's bloody mean to do that to them at the moment.
