Is anyone else finding their insomnia worse at the moment?

I'm not even sure it's down to corona anxiety, maybe a by product of being stuck in my house wfh with the kids?

I've managed 11 hours in almost 5 nights and I still cant sleep. Doesn't help that I keep getting horrific stomach ache and intermittent temperatures which means the pain stops me sleeping even if I could.

Dh is laying next to me happily sleeping away and has been since about 8pm. Hes tired from working loads. I'm also working loads, although tbf not as busy as he is, but still no sleep.

I swear I'm going to lose my mind!

Hello fellow sufferers, I have chronic insomnia and fibromyalgia/anxiety/OCD and ADD so am in a right mess Smile

I can get to sleep generally but never sleep longer than 3 hours. I then sit up most of the night downstairs on my phone or reading mainly, it’s sadly now my “normal” and has been for 2 years or so.

My problem is pain, affects my legs and lower back and so once I’m up I’m taking painkillers and main lining Yorkshire tea. By the time I’m tired it’s not worth sleeping.
I’m a SAHM and with the kids off school and college I am managing to nap early morning as they both sleep like logs and normally need to be woken up so am enjoying that unexpected bonus whilst being on lockdown.

Sleeping tablets from GP ( zopiclone and zolpidem ) don’t work for me and I think this may just be me forever.

Haven't slept at all. Got to leave for work in two hours.
My mistake was having a coffee before going to bed at 1030. Caffeine affects me horribly and I've been wide awake since then.
Going to be a long shift.

Same here. Been awake since 3 and now given up... come downstairs to eat chocolate. A large part of it for me is not being able to physically tire myself out tho... an hour walk a day isn’t enough. I’m grateful I can work from home but hate this half life we are having to lead.

Me too, wide awake since 2:30. Fell asleep around 12:30/1. I have fibromyalgia, ME, osteoporosis and 35 weeks pregnant. I'm a exhausted hormonal mess!

I've never found any meds to help, maybe once or twice to get back to a routine but it never lasts. I have a sleep watch too, my deep restful sleep is virtually non existent even in the rare occasion I do get a long sleep.

I read a lot, try and tire my brain out, get fresh air, try therapeutic crafts like art or make things etc. Even being with the children and doing school work isn't helping- they are sleeping more though.

Has anyone any information regarding people who have managed to rid themselves of this condition or do I need to accept that it's life long?
I'm late 30's and the prospect of this being it for the foreseeable is daunting. I've already endured almost ten years of this.

I finally fell asleep around 2.30am so surprisingly managed around 4 hours which is pretty good going lately.

But I have such bad stomach ache & now a sore throat too. I really need to switch on my work computer but am currently curled on the sofa drinking tea instead.

Went to bed early tonight as I was totally hanging by 6pm. Fell asleep for 10 minutes and now wide awake again and goodness knows what time I'll sleep tonight.

Work is so busy as Covid-19 is increasing my work load and I'm starting to struggle to do my job now. My role requires a lot of patience dealing with people who are either just totally unreasonable, traumatised or the not so nice members of society so patience is a key skill needed. But you know what it's like when you're tired.

I realise this is a few months old but I could really use some help.

My dd has had trouble sleeping for years. She was in medication for a while but she thinks that made it worse. She is currently on three hours a night. She is 17. Please can anyone suggest anything? Doctor has been rubbish and didn't listen, or get it, so in ten days we have another phone appointment to try a different doctor. Dd thinks she has delayed sleep phase disorder.

Lavender - makes her sick.
Baths - can't sit in them due to issues.
Light box - has light sensitivity but there might be one that would be okay??
