To let my kids spend the whole day on screens?

I'm so exhausted of trying to find other things for them to do. Which is what I normally do every weekend.
But after a week like this, I just want a day off.
Left to their own devices they are totally useless at entertaining themselves. Anything non screen related they want to do involves input from me or a whole load of mess.
Maybe I should just leave them to it all weekend and see what happens?
Anyone done this? I'm kind of hoping you'll tell me they'll start regulating themselves?

Leave them to it.
My 13 DD had been out in the garden playing with the dog, throwing the netball in the hoop, chasing the cat around the house in between long bouts of Fortnite. I haven't said anything she's just mixed it up herself

Sod it, my ds is online with his friends, in fortnite but doing some kind of role play in creative, it is good for him to play with his friends Imo and he has worked on his school work all week with me wfh so it was quite tough.

You can but they will end up grumpy

How old? Mine are much better than they were a fortnight ago...!

You do just have to not give in, or say screens only between certain times, or for x mins a day.

Totally leave them to it. Everyone needs to settle and there's time for them to sort it. We abandoned screen time eventually and the kids worked out themselves that they get bored/ fed up after too long on screens.
