Is 9am too early?

Not before 9.30am but 10am onwards is better.

possumgoddess · 28/03/2020 08:42

We wouldnt do it before 10:00 even now when for a lot of people (not everybody, I do know that) there isn't much difference between a weekday and the weekend. And that is even with the small children next door out playing (noisily) in the garden at 08:00.

BigSandyBalls2015 · 28/03/2020 08:44

Well you aren't going anywhere this weekend are you! Unless you're a key worker … so what's the rush!

LakieLady · 28/03/2020 08:47

9.00, but my neighbours are all early risers except for the people next door. They're selfish shits and very noisy, so I don't give a toss about them!

Mind you, we've had building noise since before 8.30, so mowing a lawn would go unnoticed.

9am

9am is fine and I'm not an early riser !

Runnerduck34 · 28/03/2020 15:09

Just read your update 🤣

CorianderLord · 28/03/2020 16:46

I'd wait until 10am to give those with sore heads a chance.

ilovecakeandwine · 28/03/2020 16:48

After 10 weekends 8-8.30am weekdays .

Bit rude. Hmm

People are allowed to continue to discuss the topic y'know.

Leaannb · 28/03/2020 17:11

My landscape guys usually get here about 7am every wednesday

somegoodnewsforonce · 28/03/2020 17:21

@Cohle I was meaning people asking what the rush was when I'd said a couple of posts up there was no rush. I'll add 'lighthearted' next time Grin

Jeez, do it at lunchtime. Everyone is stuck in their houses, some people will just want a lie-in; others may experiencing insomnia from the anxiety of all this and the last thing they need is your matinal mowing.

But then I'm a sleep-deprived, noise-sensitive night-owl and would ban all gardening and DIY noise during lock-down. It is enforcing torture on neighbours who are powerless to get away from it.

MaggieKing · 28/03/2020 20:43

12:00- 13:00 and not on a sunday.....you only need to mow a couple of times a year....keep it a little longer, is better for everyone and everything....
