So I am on a Facebook local page where everyone is posting messages about staying in, staying safe etc. People ranting about runners going out and selfish people going out. People saying they are staying in etc.

However, people are going on asking about waste collections, getting their house rendered, plasters. People suggesting local shops to buy rat poison and random things. I thought we are meant to only making essential journeys? Surely getting someone round to check your water pressure, pick up garden waste and render your house is not essential? These people are ranting about staying in but then asking tradespeople to come out and do random jobs. I understand they want to support local businesses and trade people but these things can wait

They shouldn’t be doing any of those things. So many people aren’t taking this seriously - sadly that means many more deaths

If someone suspects they have a rat, rat poison sounds rather essential.

I had rats a few months ago.I found it impossible to get any rat poison where I live.I rang my local council and had to pay £400 for a rat catcher tp make three visits.
It worked until now, but this morning I saw two baby rats running around the outside of my house. There must be a mummy and daddy rat around somewhere but I am not shelling out again for something which at one time was included in the council tax.I shall ask my son if he knows where I can get any poison.I can't get a cat as we have a dog who objects to competition and ignore the rats.

Darbs- that's what I think, but these are people who are ranting about runners getting too close and staying in. But it's fine to make someone else do a non essential journey to their house.
