To think that this country could end up in a pretty bad place socially when this is all over?

For example, lots of posts on local social media about how there "will be a day or reckoning when this is all over".. Directed at shopkeepers, panic buyers, people driving elsewhere to exercise etc etc.

It's fairly ominous, and frankly I am worried by it. Possibly more than by the virus and the economic fallout.

I haven't seen anything like this, who are these people? I would just delete and move on.

My FB is full of positivity for when this ends. People talking about things they plan on doing, places theyll go. Community pages where everyone is pulling together, talk of street parties to celebrate & to get to meet the names behind the posts etc

I havent seen anything like the OP has mentioned

PrettyMuchDone · 27/03/2020 06:10

Just to be clear - these people are NOT on my friends list.. These are posts on local community Facebook groups.. And it's not scaremongering these things ARE being said.. Alongside lots of the excellent community spirit that you have all mentioned, but there nonetheless. It only takes a few people to spark a fire, and there are always people willing to join in.. So I do believe it's something to be concerned about.

the fact that people have accepted a socialist state all of a sudden. That won't go away in a hurry

This is precisely the problem.

A lot of people are too naive to see it though.
