Gatherings of more than 2? Misleading?

Does that mean you can meet one other person from another household outdoors?

The fluffy wording has me and some colleagues arguing. I presumed we shouldn't be meeting up but they're adamant it's OK if it's just 1 other person from another household. Has anyone seen any concrete rules online about this 2 person thing?

I assumed that wording recognised that you would have to ‘gather’ with a shop assistant in order to buy food. I can also accept the ‘accidental bumping into one other person and exchanging distanced pleasantries’ interpretation. It definitely doesn’t mean you can meet a friend. That was specifically excluded in the announcement.
I agree it isn’t massively crystal, but can’t people work out for themselves that they shouldn’t meet anyone they do t actually have to? I’m a teacher so from time to time I’m on rota to supervise children who have to be in school. This freaks me out a bit, though I’m happy to do it. People meeting for the hell of it fuck me off, to be honest.

i have a friend who is going thru a long term MH crisis. She lives with a cat. Has a husband who occasionally turns up in the house to collect clothing before bunking off to his latest girlfriend's home. Husband only talks to her thru lawyers. They aren't minted and every letter from her solicitor reminds her how expensive the divorce will be.

I don't care about the meet up rules, I would like to meet her for a walk sometime anyway. She needs F2F support. Whatsapp isn't enough.

Don't worry, you police state fans. Friend refuses to meet me. She'll sacrifice her own mental health which probably STILL won't satisfy you.

Dogging means watching others have sex in public.
So a couple, of the same household, have sex on a car, sealed off from others and a SINGLE voyeur may stab 2m away and watch.

At least that's my interpretation of the rules

Perhaps one to send into the BBC's Coronavirus Questions slot. Grin
