To tell my neighbour to stop making a massive noise

My next door neighbour has spent most of today and yesterday using a deafeningly loud chainsaw in his back garden, it is audible all through my house even with windows and doors shut and makes it impossible to sit outside as it is an excruciating noise. WIBU to ask him to stop it?

I'd happily take chainsaw noise over the little bastards next door screaming the place down all day, kicking the ball against the house, plus their drunken mother who has mates round during lockdown

We get this all summer long. Chainsaws, strimmers, mowers, leaf blowers - when one stops another starts. You learn to ignore it all eventually. The little screamer girl, can't ignore that. I fantasize about the many many ways she could be silenced.

My doofus neighbour was continuously revving & riding his “ hog” type motorcycle round his garden. I shouted “Oye, will you stop doing that, NOW” ( we have history.)
When I looked over, he was riding around the lawn with his 18 mo old DS in front. Neither had helmets & it was as loud as f**k. No protection for child’s hearing. Thought about reporting him to DSS.
He did stop. I think his wife gets embarrassed when I do this & makes him quiet down.
He is a jackass

The chainsaw fanatic next door here has been at it too. I prefer it to outdoor music so that's something I suppose.

Mines got the kids doing an obstacle course. It's quite sweet to hear them. What I'm struggling with however is a ball being bounced on the patio between our houses which seems to echo around my patio and lounge. It's the same every year and it drives me chuffing nuts as it goes on and on and on!

I think we are all feeling the consequences of being trapped at home he stopped when it started to get dark. It was honestly several hours, hope he has it out of his system now and it doesn’t start up again tomorrow!
