To sack of "home school" and enjoy the sunshine

DD's (7) school have been sending home about 5 hours a day worth of work to parents (they actually stipulate the time they expect to be spent on each task). I am WFH half a day for 4 days, and have a 3yo too. so do what I can but haven't been able to nearly do it all - the teacher is now asking for evidence to be sent at the end of each day. I haven't sent any at all yet! We've done Joe Wicks this morning and they're now colouring in as I try to catch up on emails - but today it's gorgeous outside and warm already. WIBU to sack of the school work today and have us all enjoy the garden? I can work outside while they play. I would have to muster the bravery to tell the teacher sorry it's too much work so we played instead 😬

I can't believe a Teacher would expect 5 hours work when it's 1-2-1 (parent to child) and then expect it to be evidenced whilst you are also supposed to be working for that age of child, the Teacher (as others have said) is ridiculous.

1-2-1 for a couple of hours is equivalent to 1-to-30 in a normal class setting.

I have 3 year old, 6 year old and 8 year old at home now. We do PE at 9am then work from 9.30am-12 noon doing educational stuff. Some of it is stuff sent by School but most of it so far has been stuff I got ready in advance, we do spelling, maths, science, reading every day within that time frame (plus snack break at 10am for 15 mins).

So far this seems to be more than enough, I have not sent ANYTHING back to school, we are busy enough and I really don't want to be messing about trying to do that, I have stuck their paperwork in books so they can take it back to school when this is all over, personally I don't believe the Teachers will be marking/reading it though (don't blame them either) !
