Who are keeping their children when possible.

I am a teacher, DH is also a keyworker. Yesterday I had to work and we anticipated we might have about 1/5 of children in school. I was dreading it! Not least because the more I work, the more DD2 has to go to school.

When we got there, apart from a couple of children whose parents had to work from home (phone calls were made and the children collected), most parents had done their best to make arrangements wherever possible to work from home.

Don't get me wrong, teaching is my job and I will be there for the children who need me, but, the fewer people mixing (staff and pupils) the lower the risk.

We are on a rota now which in turn means DH can possibly juggle his hours a bit to look after DD2 on my day in work.

So thank you!

DD's nursery and DP's school have had fewer in than expected, so I too am hopeful that most people are listening.

Thank you for continuing to teach and look after the children of key workers. Such a difficult time for everyone x

Although l am able to have my Dc home,

a big Thank You for your efforts to help those with more important jobs go to work.

Thank you for your hard work Flowers

Smallchildhelp - that's lovely but compared to NHS workers it is not hard work. I am just pleased that most people are minimising the risk even though it is hard working from home with children ... on my at home days I still find it challenging to work and help the DCs with their work... they are upper ks2/ ks3 and I understand their work (I am in the wrong job otherwise).

This excludes the person who sent their children in today despite being at home.
