I have a 27 month old girl and she is SO bored, her routine is gone and she’s whinging a lot as nursery is off and she’s stuck indoors. So far we’ve just done all the normal things like playing with her toys, watching tv and playing kinetic sand. Any other ideas or things you can do with stuff already in the house? I’m going to see if I can order an arts and crafts set from amazon but obviously not sure if/when they’ll deliver. I wanted to get my garden ready in this time too but there’s so much crap out there I think it would probably be too dangerous for her at the minute.
Thanks

Hi op, didn’t want to read and run. I have two girls 6 and my youngest just turned 3. We got some white board books from the works, mainly tracing letters and words and some dot to dots in there that she loves. She’s been using them for nearly a year now and really enjoys them. She struggled to start with but was really happy having a go. You can make a marble run with toilet roll tubes as well just save the empty ones. We have also been doing toddler yoga via YouTube. Have a look on Pinterest for activities for toddlers and I bet loads come up. We’ve done lots of collages using glue paint glitter and cut up bits of paper. Usually with a theme so “make a collage of the sea/grass/the beach/space/a cloud/the sun” play hide and seek but use a fave toy you hide the toy your little one finds it and vice versa. We also have dance parties so move the coffee table stick on some Disney songs and dance together. That really works. Maybe if your garden needs some tlc your could clear an area of it at a time? Maybe clear the first bit in the evening and then let your little one play there while you start the rest? I hope this has helped! Good luck!

I have 1 & 2 year old Dd's. I've made a sort of 'weekly planner' on the fridge, alternating toys, books, drawing sets, puzzles- using YouTube as a bit of a learning/help tool (Abc's, Dance, exercise)- Also including movies and cartoons when I need to cook/ clean (or wee!!).
Example
Monday- Morning- ABC Puzzles, YouTube Tutorial songs & Dance, Draw-
Afternoon- Frozen 2 (Current Fave), Beatbo, Storytime (Snail & The whale)

Weekly meal planner (pretty standard, but tried to include things like biscuit making that they can get involved in- window cress making (We live inner city, so no garden...Sad)...

I've turned my front room into a makeshift Nursery Setting- Beanbags, All the Big colourful blankets, Massive Cuddly toys and tried to section it off a little, turned the playpen into a 'playden' with the building blocks, 'Happy Valley' Corner with the castles, big boot, fairies and princesses..

And the kindle is out...

Still a work in progress....Grin

Look up play.Hooray on instagram, she's a teacher who is giving advice on how to structure play and encourage independent play, and is doing activities at 10am live to do with your little ones
