Two food shopping trips a week?

Hi. I know this isn't a big issue.
Just wanted to see what people thought and what you will be doing.
I usually do one big click and collect shop and then a small (fruit and milk) shop a few days later. No chance of getting a click and collect slot and I'm thinking it should go to the more needy anyway.

So do you think one big shop and one little shop is ok with the current lockdown.
How are you going to plan you essential food shop now?
?

now shops are limiting to one of any item it is pretty hard for a shop for a family of 5 to last more than a couple of days. I don't see an easy way to prove it but it's hard on big families who are only allowed the same amount of shopping as a single person

Woah! There are 7 people here. Myself, with health issues, my DH, with health issues, 22year old asthmatic - who has been told to stay home from work, a 20year old college student, who was working weekends but no longer can’t. His college has closed, a 17 year old in the middle of A levels, plus my eldest daughter with a very poorly 2 month old. Baby’s dad cannot live with baby as he is a front line doctor - putting his life at risk trying to keep Corina victims alive. He FaceTimes in tears because he is scared he won’t see his baby grow up. My daughter is too exhausted to FaceTime. She spends her days watching people die in distress, alone.... She is fucking physically and mentally exhausted!

Get a fucking grip! We manage to keep 7 people fed on what’s left on the shelves - after the greedy people have stuffed their trolleys 3 times a week! No bread? Go without! No milk? Go without!

Thankfully the chemist will order milk in for the baby. Everyone else can do without.

I have not commented on a post where someone is complaining they can’t get 4 loaves of bread a week to feed a family of 5. God help if there was ever a declaration of war in this country.

I am gobsmacked at the sheer selfishness and greed from posters on this site.

If you want to put your families at risk for a carton of milk go ahead.....

There is a greater chance of the public wanting bejing to be nuked to the ground if everyone's mental health snaps during isolation due to feeling like shit not even being able properly.

Angryrant55 · 25/03/2020 16:01

Perhaps you want that through.

WW2 only started because the nazi's exploited people's anger.

Angryrant55 · 25/03/2020 16:02

I think people on here really are quite forgetting that having a population out for revenge is going to lead to massive issues/

HasaDigaEebowai · 25/03/2020 16:38

WTF who is "out for revenge"?? Nobody did this on purpose Confused

Angryrant55 · 25/03/2020 16:45

People tend to think China did.

katienana · 25/03/2020 18:13

I have been in a Tesco lady week whetevthere were no
Potatoes
Rice
Noodles
Pasta
Bread
With the best will in the world you are going to struggle to feed a family without ANY of those items. You are allowed to go shopping. Go as little as possible but you are allowed to go if you need to buy food.

PerkingFaintly · 25/03/2020 18:22

Angryrant so you thought you'd suggest that? In nice, woolly, wasn't-me-guv language? Merrily spreading such crap while pretending not to?

Worthy of Trump's have-cake-and-eat-it strategy: "Some people say... maybe not, I don't know... but that's what some people say."

ALongHardWinter · 26/03/2020 00:20

A 'Tesco lady week'? Sounds interesting katienana.Grin

daisypond · 26/03/2020 06:42

People tend to think China did.
People? Of course people don’t. Perhaps if you’re a barking mad conspiracist.

HeddaGarbled · 26/03/2020 08:25

People tend to think China did

Well, Donald Trump and the hard of thinking.

HeddaGarbled · 26/03/2020 08:27

And actually, I don’t think Donald Trump really thinks that - it’s just helpful for his anti-foreigner propaganda.
