AIBU to not go into work

I have been on maternity leave for the last 8 months and am due to return to work within the next 2 months. I have agreed to start on Wednesday.

I work as a support worker for care leavers (16+) I a residential setting so am considered an essential worker. Until a few days ago I had no issues returning to work and was assured that I would have minimal contact and as I am lone working, wouldn't be coming into contact with other staff anyway. I have now been asked to meet with several new young people, some of whom are asylum seekers and I have no idea when they arrived in the country or where they have been staying. It is also highly unlikely that any of the young people will have been listening to government advice and staying in.

I was speaking to a friend and she was outraged that I was even thinking about going to work and putting my baby at risk. She has sent me lots of information and messages from others in other counties and now I am really regretting my decision to go back.

WIBU to tell my boss that I am unable to work at the moment? I know that someone will need to and feel it's unfair if I go back on what I said as others also have children and will be expected to work.

My mum (not elderly) will be looking after my daughter and there are 5 living in the house, all are wfh and I'm worried that if I do catch it I'll also be passing it onto them.

I'm nit sure where you stand legally - you have effectively ended your maternity leave? I've never known someone change their mind and go back on maternity leave, I don't think it's legally possible?
