To be clinging to threads about crappy mother's days as a last bastion of normality

...not that I would wish anyone a crappy mother's day and I am not hear to gloat!!!!

It's just... I never post any threads here myself, right but I have LOVED being a lurker here for years. I love hearing about people's lives, like mumsnet is a periscope into so many different situations. I love the funny posts. I love the funny comments.

But now, day after day, relentless coronavirus (to be expected). It's like, not only has everything gone nuts in my immediate world but even mumsnet seems pretty much solely dedicated to a world turned upside down. I have trouble reading much without feeling even more anxious whereas before it was a happy distraction.

So i've got to say that people flocking today to let off steam about their DHs being a bit lame has been...a bit of relief?? Like a postcard from "Life Before". I honestly don't mean anything unpleasant. Also can I just say the poster who came back to one such disappointed OP by recounting how their sacred offspring had proferred "a single daisy, plucked from a grass verge"...you gave me a proper lol.

Stay safe, everyone

I seriously don't get this competitive home schooling.

I tried, but school web site has crashed, the Maths site has crashed, and tbh, I gave up and they are on their tablets watching You Tube.
