To book in for the physio?

Probably going to get flamed.

I got a neck injury 6 months back and went to an NHS physio for a few months to help recover. The NHS sessions finished and I was on the road to recovery and then corona happened so I'm obviously staying at home, working from home, not leaving unless necessary.

All I have to wfh on is my laptop, so these past two weeks of wfh have destroyed my neck. I've tried my hardest to adjust my posture the best I can but it's not helping. I think the fact that my activity levels have dropped due to the current situation has also made things worse.

Yesterday my neck was spasming almost all day and I was getting dizzy with it. I walked to the other room and that alone nearly made me vomit onto the floor.

I am in so much pain and ibuprofen is doing nothing. I was thinking of paying to see a physio or a deep tissue massage but feel guilty about even doing that in the current situation. Not really sure what to do here.

Does anyone have any tips on how to relieve chronic neck pain? The stretches my physio gave me aren't cutting it anymore. I literally cried yesterday because of how much pain I was in and how dizzy I was getting.

Try everything you can at home first. Look for some online tips like www.diyjointpainrelief.com

Get an online neck exercise regime from a reputable physio site NHS or ask a physio for a virtual assessment and exercise sheet to loosen it up. I would nott go to a hands on treatment
