OH won't lend me money to take dog to vets

Have posted about my abusive relationship many of times. My dog has an ear infection I had a few pounds in my bank so brought some ear drops for him they don't seem to do anything. I've just looked in his ear and it's full of yellow discharge looks like an infection.

OH won't lend me some money to take him to the vets. Does anyone know whether they take instalments?

He's feeling very sorry for himself at the minute it's breaking my heart.

Have you tried olive oil or a mix of olive oil and apple cider vinegar (sold in aldi)? Might help while you wait to see the vets on Monday.

Phone a vet, or more than one. Calmly explain the whole situation and see what they say.

Some vets do instalments. Ours does, but obviously you need to check up front.

Poor dog. You will be better off on your own. Who can watch an animal suffer when there is no need?

What drops did you use, as store bought are too mild to have much effect. Clorexyderm (spelling?) off Ebay worked on my dog. It's for bacterial ear infection, £10.99. He's going to be in such pain, I'm sure any vet would do instalments or claim direct off your insurance. Please see if any vet would see him as emergency tonight don't make him suffer all weekend when your insurance will bear most of the cost.

@andannabegins that's really dangerous advice.

OP please do not give any medication without a vets advice - if you have a regular vet they may be able to give you safe advice over the phone to tide you over until next week.
