This is a difficult time in the UK. Access to healthcare is not guaranteed and access to basics like food are getting harder (hopefully this will ease up).

In some countries, food insecurity and lack of access to healthcare is just the norm for most people. They don't deserve it either.

AIBU to think we should work towards global equality so nobody has to feel like this?

Your premise is about “Global Equality” tho. Isn’t it global food security and access to healthcare we need rather than equality. We may all be equally poor soon - would that make you happy?

After this is over, maybe the government will realise we need a strong nhs which doesn't have to beg for funding!
I fear though, this government will use this crisis and the costs to resume their policies of making the poor and vulnerable pay for it.
