To pull DS out of nursery completely

We wanted to get DS into nursery for one morning a week, socialisation, gives my DH a few hours break ( long term illness).
He did one day then has been off sick the last 2 weeks with a cold and ear infection, because he had a temp he can't go back anyway now til 30th, and latest news is they've shut all schools / nurseries, so now we're paying for him not to be there.

DH is home, on limited capability for work with a chronic health condition, I'm a keyworker, so will have childcare while I go out to work.

Makes sense for us to just give a month's notice and get him back into childcare when all the corona virus stuff has calmed down doesn't it?

You'll probably have to pay for a months notice.
I can see why you'd do this but if everyone does this the nursery won't reopen because they won't be able to pay their bills or staff.

I think that's completely reasonable. It's only half a day per week and he's only been once!!

Yes I'd expect to pay a month's notice, but this could go on until we'll into the summer.

From 1st April 2020 if you are not using the nursery you will not be required to pay your nursery bill whilst we have enforced closure but in the mean time if you have any outstanding invoices please may we ask that you settle this as soon as possible so that we are able to sustain our childcare provision during this very difficult time.

Problem solved!
