to be annoyed with Amazon over non-delivery

I had two parcels which Amazon say were delivered today but weren't, I'm now in the online chat with them and they have told me this:

Sometimes the packages are marked as delivered before they actually arrive. I would request you to wait till Friday, 20 March 2020 because most of the times the order are delivered on the next business day.

I meant the OP, who sounds like she’s fussing about nothing.

OP has said the parcel is important. Amazon shouldn't lie about their parcel delivery. OP has a right to be disgruntled.

Amazon don’t just deliver bread bins, iPads and make up...

They also deliver medicines, baby supplies, baby milk, pet food, human food... no one knows what the OP’s delivery was for and frankly it shouldn’t matter. They’re entitled to ask a question! And it is irritating as shit when you’re waiting for something and they pretend it’s been delivered. Because it has likely been misdelivered.

Not every post has to be brought back to bloody CoVID-19....

I have found this to be the case as well so its sensible before they start doing anythng their end. And particualrly at the meomenet when they are run off their feet you are being a bit arsy tbf

If, as a business, you are run off your feet, the right answer is not to lie to your customers, and tell them you've delivered things when you haven't.

You say 'sorry, we're run off our feet, we'll be late.'

I hate this too, i spebt a day trying to find out where a very expensive parcel had been sent as i had signed for it, only for it too turn up the next day.
I don’t care if my parcel doesn’t arrive in the expected time, just don’t lie!

This has hapapened to us - I wouldn't worry if I were you yet. Sometimes they are marked as delivered, but then turn up the next day.

I have had two things labelled ‘delivered’ thatI have not received. One I got amazon to deliver a replacement after waiting a few days. The other is still outstanding. I agree with you OP, it is not so much it is late as we know these are difficult times, it is the fact they mark it delivered.

I had similar this morning when Iceland had marked my order as 'delivered' when it wasn't. Turned up an hour after, I was just about to contact them because I expected they had delivered to the wrong address, and the person I imagined they had delivered to isn't entirely honest at the best of times....

They gave me a full refund now
