To be worried of impending recession

According to some economists It seems that the world wide economy is heading for recession, I was house hunting until Corona broke, now nervous of ending up in negative equity and thinking I should put off buying a house til next year. That’s if I still have a job.

I am awake, thank you Hmm

The measures now being put in place in so many countries will hopefully limit the number of deaths, testing will be ramped up considerably within the next weeks, there will likely be a vaccine end of next year. A lot of people will contract the virus but hopefully the number of deaths will not be catastrophic, especially given that such a large percentage of people have no or minor symptoms in the first place.

A global depression will wreck millions of lives and yes, lead to deaths as well -- possibly more than from the virus. The impact will last for years and there will be little that anyone can do about it.

I'm not downplaying the risk of the virus but strict measures will help contain it in the coming months. There is not much that can be done to keep the global economy from crashing and those effects will last much longer.
