To go for a new job, at the moment?

Did try posting in the virus thread but no response and I'd genuinely appreciate some opinions as not sure what to do.

Is now a really awful time to consider a job change, with the whole coronavirus situation?

Been in current role a long long time. Am important to the business, have trust there and know how to do the job with my eyes closed - even remotely, and juggling around kids at home.

Was looking to move due to stagnation / company not doing as well as once was / being offered a bit more money (3k more a year).

But would it be really stupid at the moment, with what's going on? To jeopardise the security I have. Plus go somewhere where I'd be trying to get started in a new role with all this happening.

I'm just waiting for an official offer letter before I hand in my notice, scary but I'm still going for it. I've had the same internal struggles myself to be honest, but have decided life is too short to wait for this opportunity as it's an excellent one.

Im taking redundancy on 31st march as are lots of my colleagues. All the role ive recently interviewed for have contacted me and advised recruitment is on hold. The same has happened to my colleagues. Absolutely no one is recruiting until things get clearer so i dont think there is any point looking for a new job at the moment.
