To ask for morning sickness meds

I'm 7 weeks pregnant and for the past 2 weeks I haven't had more than about an hour without feeling like I'm about to be sick. I haven't actually been sick but I'm not sure if this is because I'm really trying my hardest not to be since I really hate physically being sick. I've wretched a few times as well but managed to avoid actually being sick.

This is my first pregnancy and I don't have any experience with any anti-sickness medications and don't even know if they work on nausea as opposed to actual physical sickness.

I'm booking an appointment tomorrow with dr/midwife to talk about it as it's really starting to get me down as it is so constant. I feel like I always have to be within easy distance of a toilet and it's making commuting into work on the train and even the walk to the train station feel like a massive task, constantly worried about being sick.

Has anyone had experience of this, will the dr prescribe me anything for nausea if I haven't actually been physically sick?

I try eating little and often, eating something small in bed before I get up, tried ginger, not sure what else to try, any suggestions welcome!

Thanks

Yes, the doctor will prescribe something for the nausea, there are lots of different drugs you can try so if the first one you’re prescribed doesn’t do the trick go back and ask for something else.

Yeah the doctor will prescribe something. You used to be able to get anti sickness pills from the pharmacist but for some reason they stopped selling them and you can only get them from a doctor.
