Previous thread was deleted. Just wanted to say I’m more than happy I accept I was wrong for using the term. I meant no harm and made no value judgements on anyone. Every disease has to start somewhere. I most certainly did not want to goad or say anything offensive. Sorry if offence was caused.

The question was:

AIBU not to go to a wedding this weekend in London because of Coronavirus? My DH thinks I am but other friends are pulling out

It was probably moved to the coronavirus section of Mumsnet WHERE IT BELONGS.

Igotthemheavyboobs · 11/03/2020 18:35

Why was the previous thread deleted?

Aquamarine1029 · 11/03/2020 18:36

I think you should do whatever makes you feel comfortable. What anyone else thinks about your decision is irrelevant.

ShirleyPhallus · 11/03/2020 18:36

YA STILL BU

And put this in the right topic

BunnytheBee · 11/03/2020 18:37

If you don’t feel comfortable going then don’t go. You have to weight it up.

But this thread should be in the coronavirus section maybe

HaveeeeYouMetTed · 11/03/2020 18:39

There is a coronavirus board for people overworrying such as yourself.
Go to the wedding, enjoy yourself. Keep up good hand washing hygiene as advised. Take hand gel with you.

For what it's worth, you're still being unreasonable as stated in the previous thread.

Gatehouse77 · 11/03/2020 18:39

Fair enough.

I think people have to do what they think is best until we're told otherwise re-movement.
Personally, I'm carrying on as normal but will take extra precautions if I'm likely to be in close proximity of large groups of people.

BunnytheBee · 11/03/2020 18:43

I suppose just think about your friend who is having her big day, they will have paid lots for it, it would be a shame for them if lots of their family and friends didn’t go. If you are not high risk then I would say go. There are ways to minimise risk such as travel when trains are less busy (if going on train) and then wash hands etc as PP said.

AntMansVan · 11/03/2020 18:47

If you actually want opinions I think you're being daft.

But if you post on the coronavirus topic you'll get told you're sensible and to not leave your house for a year.

I8toys · 11/03/2020 18:49

I'm going to London for a play with the family this weekend - didn't even think about not going. And this is for a wedding?

strawberry2017 · 11/03/2020 18:49

Don't be so ridiculous- if you have accepted then you should go.
You are just as likely to catch it wherever you live if your going to catch it.
