To make you aware of this regarding menstrual cups?

Anyone using menstrual cups should read this: www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-51805689

I have been doing it wrong for years! Hopefully no damage has been done but women really need to be aware of the right (and wrong) technique.

Didn't know this and I've been using them for years.

I have wondered about this, actually! I use one, but in removing it I sometimes think it doesn’t feel like a healthy action (odd phrasing but I can’t think of a better way of saying it right now).

You posted this yesterday

Eeek. I use cloth.

I had to stop using mine as it did start causing a prolapse that then fixed itself once my period finished. Interesting to see I'm not the only one.

So I break the seal with a finger and then bear down if it’s too high up to grip properly. Can I not do that then? How the fook are you supposed to get it out?

DuLANGDuLANGDuLANG · 11/03/2020 12:15

I know someone who sucked her coil out with a menstrual cup Shock

I use a moon cup with the stem cut off and squidge the side in to break the seal and pull it out. No manipulation of my muscles required.

Surely someone reporting a prolapse after only 2 months of using a cup must have been very close to having the prolapse anyway?
