To ask what can I stick my stick balloons in?

Bit random but thought I'd use stick balloons to decorate my DCs birthday party and then be savvy and give them to the kids when they're leaving as part of the favours. (FYI I'm doing something else as well not just stick ballon favours).

But now I've got the balloons and sticks and have realised I have no idea what I can stick them in to keep them in place for the party. eBay keeps showing ballon stick holders which come with sticks of various lengths which isn't ideal for handing out later.
What do people that sell stick balloons stick them in to keep them together? Is it something really obvious? Is there a special holder somewhere?

Is there something DIY I can maybe do?

Help please!

Florist oasis?

georgialondon · 10/03/2020 13:37

I was going to say oasis too

How about putting them in a large vase or pot so they look like a balloon bouquet. Tie the sticks loosely together in a bunch with a bit of string to keep them all together until you need to give them out.

Or decorated empty cardboard boxes with holes poked in

Ceramic plant pots or vases with sand in them?

Plant pot full of soil/sand?

TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 · 10/03/2020 13:43

Big potatoes wrapped in foil just like the old solution for cheese and pineapple on sticks.

Or wrapped up open top boxes with sand in to stick the sticks into.

Plant pot with sand.

Freddiefox · 10/03/2020 13:59

Utensil jar

Stickybeaksid · 10/03/2020 14:24

A bucket of rice or sand
