All a bit too salty or some extremely salty

Made omelettes for tea. Unfortunately on mine I spilt the salt in. Cooked it anyway and realised when eating that I hadn't mixed it completely so had a few very salty mouthfuls and the rest was fine. Dh said he would prefer the whole thing to be too salty evenly, I disagree. The very salty bits weren't nice but the rest was perfect. Who is U?

No idea, but you really need to get out more.

DaanSaaf · 09/03/2020 17:57

@Shinycat you're right. Or I might start another coronavirus thread instead.

Neither - cook something else!

DaanSaaf · 09/03/2020 17:58

Couldn't be arsed @cliffdiver, there were beans and toast involved.

I agree with you op. A few yuk bites in a perfectly nice meal as opposed to a while rather unpleasant meal eh.

I think I need to get out more too 😂

DaanSaaf · 09/03/2020 18:01

Thanks RJ. I'll leave the thread now I've been vindicated and find me a life Wink

I clearly need to get out more because my first thought was 'oh, that's an interesting question'. I think I'm with you, a couple of salty bits but the rest fine seems to me much more palatable than everything being too salty.

CaptainCabinets · 09/03/2020 18:03

Goldilocks, is that you hun

PrincessMaryaBolkonskaya · 09/03/2020 18:05

I’m also with OP. A few salty bites can add a certain j’nais ce quoi (non parlez french innit)

I agree with your dh. I prefer eggs nice and salty.

ShirleyPhallus · 09/03/2020 18:13

He’s not gearing you up for some sort of “not the first time you’ve enjoyed a salty mouthful” joke is he....?

Digitalash · 09/03/2020 18:14

I guess it depends whether the whole meal would have inedible if it had been properly stirred 🤔 I think a few inedible bit would probably be better.

TooMuch87 · 09/03/2020 18:16

I’d rather the whole thing was a little too salty, at least then you know what you’re getting. Otherwise you’ll be wondering with every mouthful whether the next bit is going to be nice or disgustingly salty.

LamingtonBear · 09/03/2020 18:17

I much prefer too salty, to not salty enough.

DaanSaaf · 09/03/2020 18:18

See but I enjoyed some of it. Had it been evenly dispersed I wouldn't have enjoyed any of it. So obviously I'm right.

Shirley if he tries that line he's out of luck, I've had enough sodium for a month so he'll be the one to suffer

WickedlyPetite · 09/03/2020 18:19

I'd rather the whole thing was a bit too salty.

I couldn't stand the anticipation of waiting to see if that particular mouthful was extremely salty. I don't like living life on the edge.

Shinycat you're right. Or I might start another coronavirus thread instead.

LOL, yeah please do. There aren't enough on here! Grin

I’d eat it both ways. I’m one of those weirdos who sometimes likes a bit of food with their salt!
