Posting for traffic very sorry!
What’s the difference between codeine 30mg and dihydracodeine? Sorry if that’s spelt wrong.
Thank you

I take tramadol (2 x 200mg slow release a day) and I don’t have any negative side effects. I also take gabapentin (1800mg a day) and amitriptyline (can’t spell that!) every day, but often need morphine for breakthrough pain. I have put in weight, but my lack of exercise (due to severe back problems and fibromyalgia) is probably more of a contributing factor than the medication I’m on. I fine that codeine gives me severe constipation!
Hope you find a combination that works for you, OP.

I think I’m going to put a Message into my gp tomorrow. I feel bad because I’m not poorly as such but the pain I just cannot carry on. It was so bad in bed last night I had to take my clothes off and even the bed sheets on my skin was agony. The pain has spread to the soles of my feet today which is another level. I worry asking for pain killers because I don’t want them to think it’s anything dodgy and take them away when it’s what I need to survive at the Minute. Obviously someone putting in scripts for stronger pain relief than a huge prescription of codeine that they already have is concerning for a doctor I guess? But it’s so so painful

They have prescribed tramadol for the evenings so will try that and see how I get on. She said the next step is morphine 😩 but at least they are listening to me and giving me what I need! Thanks for everyone’s advice x
