To ask how to become a nail technician?

My friend wants to WFH doing something like nails part time. She does her own frequently and they're really good but she has no qualifications, h&s knowledge or anything like that at the moment.

How would someone go about becoming a qualified nail technician?
Do you need to do a full college course or is there a recognised organisation/company who offer faster courses?
She's really talented when it comes to anything crafty/skilled like that and as I said the nails she does on herself look brilliant and she would like to make some extra money from home as she currently doesn't work due to bad health and not being able to be on her feet too much and has a spare room she wishes she could turn into a little nail salon.

Anyone does anything similar or could recommend the best route to take?

Thank you in advance.

Look at training providers as well as large colleges as they usually take students on throughout the year.

We've looked online and there is organisations who over courses that last a week or so - are we correct to assume these aren't the right thing and won't be recognised?

I'll tell her to ask her local college, she just wouldn't want to be stuck doing a course for 2 or 3 years.

Tell her research the serious health consequences of regularly breathing in fumes and nail dust before she goes down this route.

Young Nails do a great, comprehensive course.
