If not, what exactly IS happening here..?

It has to be hormone related right?

I’m 30.

After having clear skin all my life I suddenly have near constant spots all over my cheeks and chin.

My breasts are constantly sensitive to pressure as in even my children hugging me is uncomfortable.
The sensation goes completely once my period starts then gradually starts up again.

My sex drive has plummeted.
For the first time in my life I have no real desire whatsoever to have sex and I had a high sex drive previously.

I feel slightly more forgetful and clumsy than normal, though I’ve always been forgetful and clumsy and quicker to tire than normal as well.
The few days before a period especially I’m quite fatigued.

Is there any point visiting the GP about this?
As in will they actually do anything?

Oh, and my skin has gone super dry as well and I’m stiffer than normal too.

No I dont think they will do anything, you could ask for a blood test I suppose, or an endocrinologist

frostedviolets · 05/03/2020 16:36

Hm, I’ll ask thank you

Given your age, that wouldn't be the first thought. Worth checking with GP.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 05/03/2020 16:46

You're 30, you should go to the GP.

Whywhywhynow · 05/03/2020 16:48

Go to your G.P. It definitely sounds like something is going on.

Thyroid? Estrogen dominance?

frostedviolets · 05/03/2020 17:15

I really hope it isn’t thyroid related.

Almost all the women in my family have thyroid problems but I have had the blood tests for thyroid dysfunction done multiple times (about 3ish years ago I started getting hot flushes, severe fatigue, other symptoms associated with thyroid dysfunction but it seemed to go by itself in the end) always normal, though I have read that often the figures are incorrect and low range normal figures can indicate dysfunction.

How heavy / often are your periods OP? I had everything you describe, plus really heavy bleeding. Ended up having an ablation which was absolutely miraculous- took all the other symptoms away. The consultant gynaecologist said he sees it all the time and it frustrates him that It can be solved without women having to go through years of hell - maybe ask for a gynaecologist referral?

frostedviolets · 05/03/2020 17:28

Somewhat regular, very heavy, lots of clots, only last 2, sometimes three days.
Going to google ablation thank you
