Wibu to get a marker pen...

And draw on the bed exactly half!?

I'm fed up of defending my half of the bed and then getting told he has no space. He has a bloody pillow lying flat next to him. I'm, however, on the edge of the bed about to fall out and he keeps getting closer Angry I'm hot and annoyed. I want my space.

Can he see the line when he's asleep? That'd be quite a trick.

Steal the spare pillow, roll him over once and put the pillow between you.

The only sensible solution here is to construct a mini but reasonably fierce electric fence straight down the middle. He’ll get zapped as soon as he encroaches into your territory.

RainbowMum11 · 05/03/2020 02:57

Separate beds - or better, houses!! Sorry, speaking from personal experience only!

ThankfullyAlive · 05/03/2020 03:03

Ooo all very good suggestions. The sadist in me wants the mini electric fence before I opt for the separate house.

LTB Grin

Sew buttons or velcro to the inward facing bit of the duvet and fitted sheet. It'll mean he can't roll more than halfway without losing his covers.

Alternatively, use the marker pen to poke him in the ribs when he rolls over your side Grin

I used to share a bed with a schoolfriend when we went away with her family and we used to put a bolster down the middle. Mind you, probably take up as much room as him but at least it wouldn't wriggle or kick.

Bigger bed? We use super-king for this same reason

batsBATSbatsBATSbats · 05/03/2020 06:01

I recommend a bigger bed. I managed to get a king-size before I became a 'king-size human' and it was great then, and it's still great now I'm huge and also sharing with an even huger human. Well, at least since he stopped accidentally rolling onto me in the night.

ThankfullyAlive · 05/03/2020 06:05

We're already at king size. Super king, whilst amazing, wouldn't really fit well in our room. Currently there is both us and our baby next to me too. I would rather kick him out of the room than DS.

Swap sides? My boyfriend always rolls over to the right side of the bed, that’s usually my side, so when he stays over I sleep on the left side.

iamclaireandfleabag · 05/03/2020 06:10

Two single duvets is a game changer (not that I have a horrible stinking starfish man to share with anymore) but I makes a big difference in bed territory wars. Good if you coaleeo too as the littles tend to want to kick covers off

TwinMumSuperHero · 05/03/2020 06:10

Another vote for electric fence! We have a king size and I'm constantly being told 'you're on my side' Hmm the bed is supposed to be massive!

ThankfullyAlive · 05/03/2020 06:12

I can't swap sides as baby DS cannot sleep next to the radiator and I would want to be next to him, not DP.

I'm just thinking whether pigeon spikes might work

OP posts:
SimonJT · 05/03/2020 06:26

Can't you just turn the radiator off at night?

IceColdCat · 05/03/2020 06:35

How about king size bed but super king duvet? This makes the bed feel bigger than it is.
