Ive kind of hit the wall tonight mentally and emotionally. The kids have been pushing my buttons since they got home from school and delaying bedtime. I've just lost it with them. I'm a single mum and my work stress if off the scale right now. Something odd has happened with my brain and I feel at snapping point mentally when normally I just manage. Can you send quick ideas to get me out of this hole?

Yes CV is freaking me right out too @Thisisworsethananticipated. I wish they would close schools now so I could stay at home next week and WFH.

By body is so exhausted it's screaming at me.

A glass of milk helps me for some reason. Or a tea!

Breathing slowly as possible and distracting myself.

Definitely see GP and tell
Someone what a hard time you are having

Sometimes you just need a good day , just one good day helps x

Warm bath always helps me. Evens out your circulation apparently to lessen stress/ anxiety/ minor depression Thanks

The double shift of work then managing the kids. I'm on my knees.

I think I'm physically as well as mentally worn down.

I'm in work and I feel dizzy and tearful.

My body is so exhausted it's screaming at me.

Listen to your body. Book Friday off work. Tell no-one you have the day off. Take the kids to their usual school/childcare, come home and have some time to yourself. Go back to bed. Binge Netflix. Take yourself for brunch. Have a bubble bath. Get your nails done. Defrost the freezer. Set up an online food shop delivery. Do nice things for yourself or do whatever needs doing around the house that has been niggling away at the back of your mind. You will feel so much better just for having a bit of time where you don't have to hear "mummummummummummumm!" or have to think about work.

When the kids get home, get a takeaway pizza, get in your PJs, stick a film on and snuggle together under a blanket.

How old are your children? Is there more that they can be doing at home to help (eg. Are they old enough to tidy their toys up? Run the Hoover around? Load/unload the dishwasher/wash & dry up? Cook dinner once a week?)
