DP just washed the mop in the toilet

He just mopped the floor, came into the bathroom. I had just done the kids bath and was cleaning the bathroom. He stuck the mop down the loo, then left it there. I was stood aghast. He then came back flushed the loo with the mop stood in it.

I pointed out the loo wasn't clean, I hadn't cleaned it. (He NEVER cleans the loo) He didn't see the problem. So I said, you just flushed a dirty mop in a dirty loo, the mop you have cleaned the kitchen floor with. He still didn't see the problem. I told him to soak the mop in a bleach solution.

AIBU? To wash a mop in the loo is just gross.

No worries, just pop it in the dishwasher

^^ Just to clarify that was a light hearted response referring to the thread where the poster washed her toilet brush in the dishwasher with the dishes

I think the toilet is supposed to be cleaner than a dirty discloth or chopping board, that'll be his logic!

It's funny but worrying at the same time. I'd be wondering what other unimaginable things he does when you're not there. would you trust him 100% to look after the kids without any directions from you? he'd probably bath them in bleach

Is it bad that I can see where he's coming from...? Providing when you say the loo wasn't clean you don't mean full of sludge and absolutely horrible, that mop head was probably dirtier
