Posting for traffic really.

Just want to know peoples views on how much going from 1 DC to 2 impacted your everyday life? I know obviously there is another person to care for.

We have 1 DC 5 at school and I have always visioned 2 DC but something is stopping me..

This is also assuming we are lucky enough to get pregnant again.

So yeah I’m just in a boggled headspace if I’m honest..

Thanks for listening to the ramble !

I'll be honest I found it harder going from 0 - 1. Dd1 was 3.5 when dd2 was born, she was potty trained, no pushchair any more, it was weird going back to nappies and change bags etc but we got back in the swing of things easily.

I also found it easier (compared to friends with smaller age gaps) that dd1 was a bit older and more able to understand that sometimes she might have to wait (e.g. If she wanted a big toy getting out or a snack) while I feed the baby or change her etc and has been so eager to help. Friends with 18 month age gaps (or less) I think have felt more torn between the two children because their elder child still needs a lot of help, but that is all purely anecdotal. They have also said it was easier having a smaller gap because of x, y and z reasons.

In short, you manage because you have to! Just allow yourself plenty of extra time to get anywhere 😂 I always aim to leave 30 mins earlier than I need to, because that gives me a bigger perfect for a quick feed I wasn't planning or a nappy explosion clean up.
