This is slightly lighthearted. I am in my 30s now with 3 young kids. Didn't have a lot growing up but two things I remember clearly I always wanted to have was a decent pair of rollerblades and Furby Blush Unfortunately my parents couldn't afford it and didn't think it was necessary. Feel so stupid as I am actually considering to buy those (not for my kids but for myself). Just because I can and because I have always wanted. Silly things but I really believe it would make me happy Grin. Anyone here has done something similar and if so did it make you feel better?

Living in a house that wasn't full of clutter as my DM has always been a hoarder. I'm now very tidy and was even asked by a home magazine if I'd consider having my house photographed for them. I declined but felt like me childhood dream had been fulfilled! Sad I know. 😟

I got a pony at 19, having ridden since I was about 8. Haven't had one for about 12 years due to my job, but as soon as I leave and get one with normal hours and not shifts, I'm pony hunting again!! (Will be about 50 by then).

Holidays abroad.

DF worked away a lot so to him coming home was a break. He could never understand that DM needed a change of scenery too.

DP's now divorced and DM has travelled widely as have I. DF continued not to take holidays away from home.

I wanted a lot of children (I have 5) and a high paid career (I got that - am a lawyer in London ) and a desert island. I had that in the Pacific for 10 years. I still have the drawings I made of my island when I was 10.

I wanted a clean organised house. I have utterly failed! It isn’t anywhere near as bad and not so terrible to be embarrassing but I definitely have clutter when i swore I wouldn’t.

I wanted to do ballet.

I had a practical no-nonsense mum who worked with horses and considered her job done if we could ride, swim and bicycle properly. But all I really wanted was to shimmy across a stage in a pink tutu.

I started dancing in my early 40's and for an hour a week let my NoelStreatfield dreams fly!
