To ask you about my windy car door

Posting in Aibu for traffic as I didn't get any responses in the car section - hoping someone can help!

I was hoping someone who's experienced this might have an idea what the problem is. My car is 6 years old and for the couple of months I've noticed quite a loud windy sound coming through the passenger door although you can't feel any draught at all. There doesn't appear to be any damage - the car is in excellent condition and the window is fully shut, I always check, but you can hear it at medium speeds - over 30mph and very loudly when going fast. I started noticing it after I had a service done at Halfords but I can't think of any reason they'd have done anything to the door during a service and mot. If anyone has any ideas I'd be very grateful. I'd prefer to know what's likely to be wrong before I ask a mechanic in case they try and pull a fast one!

Door seal/window sea likely to be misaligned.

Have you checked all the windows are shut? I sometimes nudge the winder handle when rummaging around the back seat and it leaves the tiniest gap. Took me ages to work it out.

at 6 years old, unless it is a convertible, it should not be worn out yet.

Look at the rubber draught-strip to see if it is tighty held in place.

Some cars with electric windows have an adjustable or self-adjusting top closure level, possibly if the battery has been out or there has been crash damage it needs adjusting. On mine you can do it by press-and-hold of the electric close button, but check the handbook.

Otherwise, there is a way of breaking into cars by bending the top corner of the windowframe out. If this has been attempted you may be able to see the windowframe does not line up tightly. A bodyshop can bend it back.
