Used two this week proabky cost about two quid form the range
Just can’t be arsed to clean then
It is water based paint so can be cleaned

Feel guilty chucking them out though

Is it that, in this global economy, not growing means you're actually shrinking?

Pretty much. Well "shrinking" by the metrics by which you measure "growth". But those metrics drive every economy in the world - even China. It's why inflation is so critical. No (or negative inflation) means a contracting economy where your £ (or $, or Yen) is worth more tomorrow than today. With predictable (if not hilarious) consequences. It's what's bedevilled Japan for decades.

So depressing. As you say, we will need new planets to colonise with new consumers.

Clean them, I hate waste and they will last for years if you clean them well.

Use warm water and the paint will come off even quicker.

I always put the paint tray inside a plastic bag and then just chuck the bag to save cleaning the tray but maybe this is not environmentally friendly either?

Whilst undoubtedly true, the problem with that comes when you see the price tag on the built-to-last items and suddenly realise that cheap isn't too bad.

What bollocks. Even if the expensive, good quality brushes cost 5 or 6 times as much as the cheap ones, you don't have to do much painting before they have paid for themselves (if the alternative is to chuck the cheap on after one use).

OP - yab massively unreasonable. Throwing away perfectly good things is dreadfully wasteful, and just increases the amount of landfill.

No shit Sherlock!

DH is a former professional painter and decorator and owns something called a ‘Paint Dandy’. It’s basically an attachment for an electric drill which spins the brush and gets the paint out by centrifugal force. He thinks it’s the best thing ever.

Buy good ones, clean them and they'll last a lifetime. They're a pleasure to use as well.

Or buy cheap and throw them into landfill. Which is how this planet got to the fucked point it's got to. So basically, thanks for not caring and so long as you're happy with your utter laziness then I guess that's just grand.
