Chronic nail biter - even when I do manage to not bite them they are so weak they break almost instantly

Any tips for how to stop biting them and strengthen them?

I know IABU as I'm an adult and it's a horrible habit but struggling to get them to grow!

I am a biter too, I have gels but I always managed to chip them and then I peel them off, which is even worse for your nails.
Nail envy definitely strengthens them a lot. I am having a break from gels as they aren’t the best for your nails and using nail envy and they are looking better but it is such a hard habit to break

I too use an at-home gel nail kit. I bought it in Boots and it has a little UV lamp and wasn’t lots of money. I then bought Gelish and Shellac colours and topcoats online. It just deters me from chewing. Also the constant illness around me at the moment is helping prevent me from putting my hands anywhere near my mouth!

CND Rescue Rx on bare nails (can also be used over gel polish, but will take longer) to strengthen.
CND Solar Oil to moisturise. Keep both in places where you will remember to use them (on my desk and by my bed for me).
Keeping good, fine files and possibly clippers handy so that when you get a scraggy nail or hangnail you can deal with them rather than nibbling.
Keep the nails short until they grow out stronger, this will also help the nail not to tear.
A lot of patience! It will take at least 4-6 months to grow out (longer in winter).
