To think this isn’t funny

A man walks a women in a dog mask down the street and it’s apparently hilarious. Even if it is a sexual kink they don’t belong in the belong in the Street

What wrinkledimplelover and ArcheryAnnie said.

They’re involving other, unconsenting, people in their sexual fetish. People who don’t want any part of this shouldn’t have to see it.

It’s a violation of other people’s boundaries, and particularly so for women and girls seeing as it’s women and girls who are most at risk of sexual assault/abuse by men, whose boundaries are constantly being pushed back and eroded anyway. How might it affect an adolescent girl to see that? It goes against all safeguarding.

Absolutepowercorrupts · 18/02/2020 23:47

@Mummoomoocow
Pearl clutching over something stupid. Next they'll be painting their hair bright green and wearing mini skirts in public!
Are you really so blinkered and unaware? It's 2020, can anyone be as naive as you? Don't you even see what's being normalised in society today?

Mummoomoocow · 19/02/2020 00:00

What I bare witness to in this thread is a square peg filling a round hole.

Furry play isn't always sexual, some people are deluded in thinking that they are really animals and therefore act this out in real life. Its being perceived here as sexual because the first thing that comes to mind when as adult see's a leash is that it's got to be a sub/dom thing. It's insane I agree.

Not everything can be used as feminism-fodder

The main issue is that kinks should not be acted out in public because the public has not consented to be involved, and you risk acting out in front of and therefore involving people who cannot consent.

Consent is the only thing that protects the kink community, same as the piercing community and the body mod community. If you don't get that, you don't really understand the issue.

Furry play isn't always sexual
For a high % of the men involved it is. Other studies show lower rates for women.

Keep it in private between consenting adults and there's no problem.

EC22 · 19/02/2020 01:12

Revolting.
It’s a sexual fetish, not for the streets.
It’s using the general public for their kink. The public haven’t consented.
I’d have them done with indecency!

SpamChaudFroid · 19/02/2020 01:57

Like PPs have said, it's not on to involve other people in one's sexual fantasies without their consent. Why don't they go to a sex club and do some exhibitionism there, with willing participants?

Monty27 · 19/02/2020 02:00

Why do you think it's sexual? Confused

TVaddict1982 · 19/02/2020 07:46

It just looks so disturbing Shock

Cornettoninja · 19/02/2020 07:57

@Monty27 because there is a very high probability it is? It’s a common enough fetish for it to make it more likely than this couple just deciding to go out like this for shits and giggles.8

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 19/02/2020 08:03

Isn’t part of this couples kink to involve other people without consent?
In this case, kinkshame away. Don’t involve others.

ferrier · 19/02/2020 08:14

Rule out likely kink dog/Batman and you rule out large swathes of Pride and similar events .....
Also any kind of over-sexualised dressing?

longwayoff · 19/02/2020 08:16

A woman, chained to a man, being displayed in public for our entertainment. Funny? Not remotely. If it's amused you then you may want to ask yourself why.

Reginabambina · 19/02/2020 08:17

Call me a prude but I don’t find sexual fetishes involving power play funny. I’m not saying that people shouldn’t be able to do what they want in their private lives, but these things have a potential to turn very ugly (not saying they always do, or that they even do most of the time etc merely that the potential for abuse is there, which it the point I suppose) so I couldn’t bring myself to find it laughable.

Damntheman · 19/02/2020 08:38

Doesn't look particularly sexual to me. Honestly I wouldn't blink twice seeing that, I've seen far stranger things on the street!

Monty27 · 19/02/2020 08:50

Clearly I'm naive and in that case I agree with keeping it behind your bedroom doors. It's certainly not consentual for the public at large, particular DC's. Shocking really. Each to their own, but eeeew Shock

AshenQueen · 19/02/2020 08:52

I'm quite shocked some people wouldn't mind their kids being exposed to a couple acting out a sexual fetish, even if they didn't understand that's what it was.

I wouldn't want my DDs to think it's normal to be pulled along on a lead in a relationship. I wouldn't let them watch something like this online, so definitely wouldn't want them to see it in person.

Consent is very important in kink (or should be). The public hasn't consented to being a tool in this couples exhibitionism.

Monty27 · 19/02/2020 09:06

I still think it wouldn't be perceived as sexual. People go to pantomimes and circuses. Do people perceive that as sexual.
I feel a bit silly but I wouldn't have Blush

Cornettoninja · 19/02/2020 12:51

People go to pantomimes and circuses. Do people perceive that as sexual

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rule_34_(Internet_meme) bit tongue in cheek but there’s no denying the Internet has opened up a whole new world of fetishes and platforms for people to find people who share theirs.

In general, no people don’t find circuses and clowns sexual but I’d be happy to bet that there is a subsection of people that do. It’s about context generally though and this particular example didn’t seem related to an actual joke, performance or political statement leaving very few other reasons for it (or it was one if those three and was badly misjudged).

Collars/leads etc aren’t unusual in some sexual communities and some people definitely fantasise about taking it to these extremes.

EntropyRising · 19/02/2020 12:58

We saw this in Greece this summer, except it was a woman walking a man - on an oppressively hot day. Rarely have I seen anything quite so odd. I'm sorry to say that I first thought they were pilgrims as it was the day of the Assumption of Mary, but no.

I would like to not see it, but I don't think it's a huge deal, is it?

Purpletigers · 19/02/2020 13:45

Very disturbing behaviour, no one wants to know about their sexual fetishes .

P1nkHeartLovesCake · 19/02/2020 13:49

🤷🏻‍♀️ It that’s what gets the motor running for them.

They weren’t shagging in the street, just walking down it

ParkheadParadise · 19/02/2020 13:50

I've seen worse in Glasgow.

BusterTheBulldog · 19/02/2020 13:55

I don’t think I’d have even noticed that to be honest! Thought it was gonna be string vest and bondage. Not two people fully clothed walking along together

CuriousaboutSamphire · 19/02/2020 14:04

Well it’s a bit off but it’s not like they were having sex. Oh but it is! They were doing it to get sexual kicks, from other people's reactions, unconsenting participation in their sexual fetish, visible dominance / submission.

Every sidways glance would have added to their sexual gratification. That's the whole bloody point of exhibitionsim, furry, dominant or other!

As someone said the pornification of society is increasing... and I do NOT CONSENT!
