Inspired by the fact that once again I've gone to make myself a much needed cuppa, already poured the water in only to find some asshole (DH) has put the milk back in the fridge with about 10mm worth of milk left. Why not just drink the tiny bit??? Why put it back??

Obviously a light-hearted thread or shall I leave the monster? Grin

Dp likes to leave the nice clean dishcloth out beside the used and needing washed one. This gives me the fucking rage. Why??

Also he cant cut an onion properly. Gives me the rage.

Leaves all his work crap and textbooks piled on dining table and/or worktop cos hes 'going to be using them later'. No. Fuck off to your office with them. Fucking hate clutter.

Sil who likes re organise cupboards. Fuck off to your own house. And stop with the stripping beds too.

Teaistheanswer · 19/02/2020 15:02

DD who washes her hands a lot but can't seem to hang a towel straight afterwards on the perfectly big enough towel rail! She just kind of squidges a wet heap of towel into the gap between the rails! Angry

DH turning his dinner plate to line up food to cut it! I have never ever seen anyone else do this but it gives me the absolute rage! Turn, turn, turn, cut then turn, turn, turn and cut.....Aarrrggghhh!

SeeUNextTuesday · 19/02/2020 15:10

People who watch video's on their phones at full volume in public places. Like the waiting area in drs. Proper boils my piss.

HazelBite · 19/02/2020 16:16

People who need to text/closely examine their phones whilst they are walking along a busy pavement/in charge of a buggy/riding a bike.
I had a nasty gash on my leg from a buggy as the person pushing it was engrossed in Facebook!

honeyytoast · 19/02/2020 16:45

Wind.

Leaving the house with decent looking hair only to have it ruined, blown all in my face and every single direction possible pisses me off for the rest of the day

sueelleker · 19/02/2020 16:52

Street promoters that try to get you to commit to monthly donation subscriptions. Because even when you say you will think about it, they will tell you to just subscribe and then cancel if you decide against being committed to having a donation drawn out of your account monthly. How does that even make sense? That's more work on my part (because you have to call the charity and get them to manually cancel your subscription) than just signing up from my computer at home if I decide I want to commit. This way of running a charity is very off-putting and annoying to me
It's the same principle as magazine subscriptions; they hope you'll forget to cancel.

yolofish · 19/02/2020 16:56

Can I add unwrapping new lampshades.

Covered in a bit of plastic that winds the whole way round the fucking thing, I resort to scissors as dont have the patience to unwind the fucker, and then end up with bits of plastic everywhere.

(I am pleased with my new lampshade though)

marashino · 19/02/2020 16:58

Shrink wrapped cucumbers - why?!

PigletJohn · 19/02/2020 18:07

@CigarsofthePharoahs

this

catsandlavender · 19/02/2020 18:08

DP constantly leaves his shoes in the middle of the hall. Next to the shoe rack. Hmm

Kalim8 · 19/02/2020 18:20

An unspoken belief in fairies.
Towel washing fairies.
Loo roll processing fairies.
Teabag pile disposal fairies.
I am the second one only, but occasionally monitor the teabag pile when I want to feel irrational rage which I won't dispose of because I have not contributed to it.

I would probably be annoyed at coffee in the sugar except I don't take sugar.

The half a jobs - dishwasher half filled and plates left on the side. It doesn't make for the smooth running of dish throughput.

catsandlavender · 19/02/2020 18:40

Also, when children hold your hand and their hand is wet. Literally the worst.

foxyknoxy30 · 19/02/2020 18:51

When people use a kettle and empty but don't bother filling it for the next person

SciFiScream · 19/02/2020 18:58

@Disquieted1 yes. Yes. Yes. Hate it. HATE IT.

SciFiScream · 19/02/2020 19:09

@foxyknoxy30 why would you though? You don't know how much water the next person is going to need.

Bipbipbipbip · 19/02/2020 19:21

When people use a kettle and empty but don't bother filling it for the next person

How does this work? How do you know how much water to put in? How do you as the new kettle approacher know when it was last used or last boiled? I'd end up just tipping it out and starting again.

Thisisworsethananticpated · 19/02/2020 19:22

Tangled charger and headphone cords

Kills
Me

Kalim8 · 19/02/2020 19:55

The announcing of household tasks. Just get on with whatever it is, I don't need to be told what you're doing!

Kalim8 · 19/02/2020 20:00

& me! I annoy myself, making plans and not carrying them out.
It makes no sense - I spend hours each day at work but can't give myself time to do something productive for myself - I seem to have plenty of time for mumsnet, why not time for pilates?

cologne4711 · 19/02/2020 20:05

People who need to text/closely examine their phones whilst they are walking along a busy pavement

Yes (you don't need the in charge of a bike/buggy bit - just walking with their nose in their phone screen is enough).

Most of mine relate to roads.

Parking on pavements, especially when I am walking along said pavement at the time and they just drive at me.

Drivers not giving way to pedestrians at side roads.

Cyclists undertaking when you are already indicating left.

Lorries overtaking each other on the motorways. They should all be limited to the same speed and confined to the inside lane. Why eg are Sainsburys lorries limited to 50mph? And are they actually allowed to use the 3rd lane on a 4 lane motorway? If so, they shouldn't be (you can tell I've just had the journey from hell on the M1 can't you).

Meat wrapped up weirdly so you have to handle it, why isn't it packaged so you can tip it right into your cooking. I hate having to handle it unnecessarily and then wash my hands.

Any packaging which is really difficult to unwrap - what do you do if you are disabled or elderly?

Chuggers as already mentioned.

People who don't understand what quiet means in the context of the quiet carriage on a train.

And back to the M1, when it says "stay in lane", stay in your lane!

Lucked · 19/02/2020 20:12

Back zips on jumpsuits.

Mildly irritating on dresses but dresses only require contortion at the beginning and end of day not every time you need a wee, possibly whilst in a small cubicle!

cologne4711 · 19/02/2020 20:12

Also agreed with loads of these!

People who try to get on the train without letting you get off first yes or don't let people sitting nearest the door off first

People who hang dogs shit bags on bushes

People who let their dogs walk off lead again don't need the rest of it, dogs should be on leads.

People who watch videos on their phone in public with the sound on

People who drive 4x4s unless they live on a farm, yes.

People who drive everywhere when they could walk instead yes

People who do loud DIY on a Sunday (or any time)

People who leave their Engines running Yes, had forgotten this one.

people who take ages buying weekly/season tickets for the train during rush hour thus making me miss my train to work yes, although to be fair where I live it's about the only time of day you can be almost sure someone will actually be at the ticket office. That said, you can buy weeklies from the ticket machine.

People who build extensions on their house - just buy a bigger house and save your neighbour a year of hell and leave the smaller houses smaller, so they remain affordable. If you turn every 2 bed house into a 4 bedder, where are the starter homes?

People who park on yellow lines

Barking dogs yes, I'm looking at you doggie next door, every night at 10pm!

Pollyhops · 19/02/2020 20:18

When people repeatedly press the lift button!

When people stop without warning whilst walking (usually to get their phones out)

greeentopmilk · 19/02/2020 20:22

People who stop and chat in really fucking stupid places.

Shop door ways
Middle of aisles so people can't pass
Dog walks on street corners
Literally at the school gate. In the entrance.

Just move!!

SuperMeerkat · 19/02/2020 20:34

When people get me/I wrong. Eg ‘please forward the information to Jane and I’

‘🤦‍♀️🤬🤬 It’ Jane and ME’ 🥵🥵 Get it right!! My boss is soooo bad at this.
