To not understand which way I should vote in most AIBU polls...

Sorry if I missed the Mumsnet memo but there are some threads that contain a poll and I cannot fathom for me which would be U or not U 😂
I just tend to vote unreasonable so I’m surely skewing the votes!

Just to be uber clear....

I AM being unreasonable if I’m the only one and all of you get which way to vote
I AM NOT being unreasonable if some (most 😂) posts are unclear on which option the OP wants for the votes.

Jeez I hope I’ve got this right, without an edit button I could be in major trouble!

I think it is a very crude voting system that has been introduced and it isn't ideal for many eventualities.

I've seen polling systems on other sites where you can set the actual question and give appropriate options for the answers. Better and easier to understand, imho.

Redshoeblueshoe · 17/02/2020 01:59

Some of the posts are blah blah blah blah blah blah then vote, so there's no clear idea of what you are voting for.
It should be compulsory for t to be clear WineGrin

lemontreebird · 17/02/2020 02:03

You can change your vote, if it becomes clearer down the thread.

Topseyt · 17/02/2020 02:05

Also, apparently the vote is automatically there unless the OP turns it off before posting?

I don't know that for certain as I haven't started any threads recently, but I've seen people say that they didn't know how to turn it off. I think that is the wrong way round. It shouldn't automatically appear unless the OP specifically selects it as an option.

StarlightLady · 17/02/2020 02:56

It often confuses me.

SallyLovesCheese · 17/02/2020 06:07

It's because people use AIBU for all kinds of chat that don't actually have a reasonable/unreasonable element.

Just don't vote.

crapette · 17/02/2020 10:44

It's not compulsory to vote.
If the question is unclear, why are you responding?

As @SallyLovesCheese says, it just highlights the fact that a lot of AIBU posts are in the wrong place.
