To expect pants not to fade after two washes?

I treated myself to some lovely new underwear in the Christmas sales. One set is a pale but vibrant pink with blue detail... The pants have been worn and washed twice and are not the same colour at all. It's really obvious because I ordered another pair of the same pants this week and they're a totally different colour! Is it unrealistic for pale underwear to hold its colour?

(I realise this is the definition of a first world problem btw).

To add, I washed according to the label instructions.

You probably know this already but if you use biological washing powder, it can fade clothes?

Frownette · 14/02/2020 09:41

That's a nuisance - are you going to speak to the shop?

FuckingHateRats · 14/02/2020 10:15

I dunno if it's a bit petty to phone up Figleaves and complain about less than perfect pinks! Maybe I should.

Did you use non-bio?

I worked in clothing retail for a while and we always recommended non-biological liquid (not powder) to protect clothes and to stop them fading.

If they are from Figleaves I doubt they were cheap so yes I would tell them. Lucky you didn't get matching bra.

I did get the matching bra! It doesn't seem to have faded the same way, maybe I got a dodgy dye batch.
